Springs Smoked Mackerel Fillets


Taste

I was quite happy with this fish from Springs. The smoke flavour is a little heavy on the salt, but pleasant enough. The fish had a very oily skin that helped keep the fish moist. The flesh was of the firm variety, just the way I like it.

Look

The colour is a beautiful coral, with a glistening skin. It comes in an easy peel back vacuum seel too.

C-factor

200g for $8.99 is actually not bad at all for smoked fish.
