Ciel Rouge Restaurant and Lounge

After our high tea at The Victoria Room and our Life Drawing Classes, we continued our drinking here. We got there around 9pm, so had the lovely lounge area and the bar all to ourselves. Unfortunately that also meant there was no service, so we had to go to the restaurant to get someone to make stuff for us. The drinks were v nice though…or did that Tequila shot dull my senses? Their cocktail list had a few specialties martini, the chocolate martini especially sounding divine. No creamy drinks here, which is just the way I like it.

I had the Stacey martini - a little sweet, a little sour, with a salt rim. Very delicious and divine!

Décor wise, in keeping with the games, the colour scheme is red. The lounge is arranged around one corner, with some red velvet ottoman and dark timber tables, lighted by little tealight candles. By about 10:30pm, the place started to fill up, and gets quite lively. Even the guy who was trying to pick up was a bit less seedy than usual!
