Australia Let it All be FREE...

It started off with Sausage Sizzle (+ onions yum!) and Damper (+maple syrup yum!) @ Strathfield Park. Every year the council sets up some recycling display and provides breakfast to celebrate Oz Day.

This year, Slokky opted for a vegie pattie, I think this is his attempt to get ready for our diet?

Fuelled up, it was time for Freebie #2, visit to the Sydney Jewish Museum. No food was consumed there, but it was an excellent museum to visit and reminds you of the destruction that humans are capable of.

After an enlightened few hrs, it was off for Freebie #3, coffee/tea/cold drink at the NRMA cafe. Alas, we were too late, the cafe closed 20 mins before we were able to make it. Normally I would be quite sad at the prospect of missing out on a freebie, but it was such a glorious day and Slokky hadn't made me mad all day, so I let that one go. Plus, we had already filled up with Chicken and smoothies from New Zealand Natural (see smoothies review).

The day of indulgence is not over. We ended the day @ a BBQ at my parents place. This was the usual affair of steak, lamb cutlets, prawns, calamari, and any manner of vegetables that they can lay their hands on, as well as fruit galore. My parents can lay claim to having the healthiest bbq around.

Then came the finale, Elaine made me a Mango Cheesecake, which became a Mango SemiFreddo because there was not enough gelatine to set the cheese layer. It tasted good though, even if the mangoes weren't that sweet!
